Rules of the Game: Q3 2009

CPE offers 4 jump height categories -- Regular, Veterans, Enthusiast and Specialist. Any dog over 15 months of age on the first day of the trial may enter in the Specialist category. If my dog measures 21" at the shoulder and I entered him in the Specialist category, what height would he be jumping?

a. 20"
b. 22"
c. 16"
d. 12"

This question must have been tougher than I thought. The answer is d. 12". A 21" dog entered as a Specialist at a CPE trail would be jumping 12" jumps.

RULES OF THE GAME Contest

Each Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. EST, we'll post a new question about agility organization rules and regulations. The answers will often be found in the rules posted at each of the "popular agility organizations in the U.S." listed in the March 23, 2009 post. The first person to answer the question correctly wins a $5 credit to be applied toward lessons, run-thrus, or field use fees. (Note: The credit cannot be applied to guest instructor lesson fees, but can be applied to field use fees incurred during guest instructor lessons.) Submitted answers must be posted as a comment to the "question of the day," and must include the person's name -- either in the text or as a signature. The correct answer and winner for each question will be posted the following day. If no comments are received in response to a question, the answer will be posted when the new question is posted and the previous question will be "closed." In order to maintain a fairly level playing field, any one person is permitted to win up to 8 times in a 6-month period. Credits earned must be used within the calendar year earned.
